Terms of Service

Operator: Product Magicians LLC, a Delaware company doing business in California (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Service: Roo and its daily games, Artshift, Roodoku and Price Guesser, at https://productmagicians.com.

1. About these terms

These Terms govern your use of Roo. If you choose to use the Service after these Terms are published and become effective, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; it is not a substitute for these Terms.

Roo currently offers free daily games, guest play and optional accounts. These Terms do not authorize an unannounced subscription, paid purchase, prize competition or advertising program. If paid features are introduced, the applicable price, billing and cancellation terms will be presented before a purchase.

2. Who may use Roo

Roo’s puzzles are designed to be broadly approachable. An “Everyone” description refers to the intended content audience, not an official content rating or a representation that children can independently create accounts in every jurisdiction.

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Roo account. The signup process asks you to confirm that you meet this minimum; it does not verify your identity or collect a date of birth for this check. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

If you are below the age at which you can agree to these Terms on your own, involve your parent or guardian as required.

You must have the legal ability to agree to these Terms, or use the Service with an authorized parent or guardian where required by the approved policy.

3. Accounts and guest play

You may play as a guest without creating an account. Guest progress is stored in your browser. Clearing browser storage, changing devices or losing access to that browser can remove guest progress.

Accounts use an email address and password, or Google sign-in. Google sign-in is processed by Google and Supabase; it does not require you to provide your Google password to Roo. Verification and recovery emails are sent through Resend where applicable. You are responsible for providing an email address you control, completing required email verification, safeguarding your credentials and notifying us if you believe your account has been misused. Do not share passwords or use another person’s account without authorization.

Signing in does not automatically import a shared browser’s guest history. Where an explicit copy option is offered, it copies supported guest progress without intentionally replacing existing account results. Guest assist balances are separate from account balances.

Account features help restore progress across devices, but they are not a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or permanent preservation of every result.

4. Game results, hints and assists

Daily results are personal game records, not cash, property, a transferable asset or a claim to a prize. Scores are not represented as independently replay-verified competitive rankings.

Roodoku uses three lives per attempt. Incorrect placements can consume a life. Hints and auto-placement may mark a puzzle Assisted. Assist balances show the available uses of the relevant tool. Used assists are not restored merely by undoing, resetting or retrying a puzzle. We may correct technical errors in balances or records and change future gameplay features prospectively. We do not currently sell assists or promise that a daily streak earns currency, rewards or a particular balance.

Daily streaks are personal consecutive-day records. Completing at least one daily game qualifies a day; completing several on the same day does not add several streak days. Practice does not qualify. A streak does not currently promise bonuses, currency or valuable rewards.

If an assist confirmation is pending, keep the board open and retry the same request as directed. Support for unresolved technical problems is available through the Contact section. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Price Guesser references

Price Guesser asks you to estimate a dated US retail reference price for the named item and variant. References are historical game inputs, generally before tax and shipping. They are not live purchase quotes, appraisals, financial advice, guarantees of availability or offers to sell the item. A product photograph may show an assembled building kit or included parts; the item description states what the reference covers.

Estimated percentile feedback compares accuracy with simulated guesses or rounds, not real players or a measured population. The modeled comparison is for entertainment; it is not a verified competitive ranking.

Manufacturer and retailer names, product photographs and trademarks identify the referenced item. Roo is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by those third parties unless we expressly state otherwise.

6. Permitted use

Use Roo for lawful personal play and ordinary browsing. Do not:

• Attempt to access another user’s account or data.
• Interfere with the site, exploit a security defect, bypass access controls or deliberately overload the Service.
• Use automated requests or scraping that disrupts the Service or breaches another person’s rights.
• Impersonate someone, use false account information to evade controls, or misuse support channels.
• Copy or redistribute site materials in a manner that infringes applicable rights.

Report vulnerabilities using the Contact section rather than exploiting them or accessing other users’ data.

7. Site content and third-party materials

The Service includes our software, designs and original content, along with third-party artwork, photographs and product references. Rights in third-party materials remain with their respective owners, and some artworks may be in the public domain or subject to separate source terms. Museum and product-source links are provided where relevant.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of content to you or grant rights beyond those permitted by applicable law or an express license. They do not narrow rights you already have in public-domain material. Third-party websites are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, prices or availability.

8. Availability and changes

We may update games, fix errors, maintain the Service or change features. A daily puzzle can be unavailable because of maintenance, content changes or technical problems. We will provide notices of material changes where appropriate and where required.

We may suspend access to address misuse, security issues or legal requirements. You may stop using the Service at any time. Account-closure requests use the Contact section. Data handling following closure is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be error-free, continuously available or suitable for every purpose. Your local settings, network and device can affect operation and saved progress.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Disputes and governing law

Please first raise concerns through the Contact section so we can try to resolve them.

11. Updates to these Terms

If we materially change these Terms, we will update the effective date and provide notice appropriate to the change. A change will not retroactively remove rights where that is prohibited. Stop using the Service if you do not accept revised Terms after they take effect.
