Cookies & Local Storage Notice
Effective date: 2026-11-05
Roo uses browser storage to make daily play work. This notice supplements the draft Privacy Policy.
Necessary storage
- Guest progress: puzzle state, submitted price guesses, completion and guest assist balances.
- Account sessions: tokens used by the authentication service to keep a signed-in session available.
- Account-local convenience saves: account-scoped progress caches and pending-save queues used when synchronizing with the backend.
- Daily habit UI: local daily-play markers and guest or account-scoped completed dates used for the personal streak view; session-only dismissal of a signup invitation.
- Age confirmation: an in-page checkbox before account creation or Google sign-in. The check is not a date-of-birth record or a verified parental-consent service and is not saved separately by this UI.
- Gameplay preferences: mute and tutorial acknowledgment, learned Artshift gestures, theme preference and optional-analytics choice.
Guest and account data are kept in separate namespaces. Creating an account does not automatically import a shared browser’s guest saves. Copying guest progress requires the explicit copy action.
Optional analytics
Optional event collection is off by default. The setting currently controls account-linked Artshift start, completion and hint-use events. It does not turn necessary authentication or save storage off. Turning it off stops future optional events from the device; it does not erase previously stored events by itself.

Live advertising is not enabled.
Your controls
You can clear cookies and site storage using your browser’s settings. Doing so can sign you out and erase local guest progress or unsynced saves. Clearing local storage does not delete backend account data. Account/data requests use the Contact section.
